Frequently Asked Questions

What Is Paintball? An exciting game played across the world by people like you! A modern version of "cowboys & Indians", "hide & seek", and "tag" rolled into one! Two teams of equal size and skill compete on a forested playing course- the first team to capture their opponent's flag wins! Eliminate your opponents from play by tagging them with a harmless, water-soluble, non-toxic, hypoallergenic, biodegradable "paintball". Yes, it might sting a little, but that's all the more reason not to get tagged! You'll never be out of the action for long though- because we play eight games or more in a full day! Four games or more in a half day!

Is The Game Safe? Yes! And our staff makes sure it stays that way! You will be given full instructions on the correct way to operate your equipment, as well as a detailed orientation on safety regulations and game rules. Adult Referees will accompany you onto the course and supervise your play.

Are we stuck playing the same course all day? No. We have 11 completely different playing courses. Usually a group will play one or two courses in a half day of play, and 2 or 3 courses in a full day of play, depending on the size of your group, how many other courses are being used the day of your visit, and how much of your playing time you want to waste hiking from course to course. In our 17 years of experience we have found that most players enjoy staying on a course for several games so that they can get a feel for the "lay of the land" and develop and test different strategies to win the game.

How many paintballs will I use in a day of play? The average novice player using a semi auto paintball gun will use between 500 to 1,000 paintballs in a full day of play. Paintball pricing info can be found in our Paintballs link.

Can I bring paintballs I purchased from a store, online, or at another playing field? DEFINITELY NOT! Our insurance company insists that all paintballs utilized at NJ Paintball Club be acquired at the Club. We use only the finest grade of paintballs, and have a special color shell and fill so that we can easily insure that only NJPC paintballs are in use. This safety regulation protects the players from being hit by balls of questionable manufacture that might not meet the high safety standards that NJPC maintains. NJPC paintballs are : from a quality manufacturer, washable, non-toxic, hypoallergenic, biodegradable, consistently round, fresh, breakable, and straight shooting. Players bringing their own paintballs to NJPC, and players attempting to utilize non-NJPC paint during play, will be barred from participation and ejected from the playing site without refund, with police escort if necessary.
